America’s Health Insurance Plans Institute & Expo focuses on innovative thinking that can advance health care affordability, value, and access

TAMPA, Fla. (May 25, 2017) – Ed Buckley, III, Ph.D., CEO of digital platform Peerfit, is presenting a session to help health insurance carriers and employers learn how to redefine wellness at America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) Institute & Expo. Co-presented with Aetna’s Market Head of Sales, Pete Diniaco, the session will focus on how health insurers can leverage technology and data to make corporate wellness programs easy and enjoyable to use, which increases employee engagement.

During the AHIP session, Buckley and Diniaco will analyze top trends in emerging digital platforms and solutions. They will explore how collaborations between traditional insurance/employer partners and innovation start-ups are setting a fast pace of personalization within wellness to drive the future of wellness programs.

Peerfit is a digital platform that makes it easy for insurance carriers, brokers and employers to offer boutique fitness classes to their clients and employees. The company is working with organizations in 30 cities that use benefit dollars to improve employee health and well-being and to create and drive strong company culture.

The 45-minute session takes place at 4 p.m. Thursday, June 8, as part of AHIP Institute & Expo’s Prevention, Health & Well-Being track.

Attendees can meet some of Peerfit’s executive leadership and its business development director at exhibit booth #323. CEO Ed Buckley, Chief Growth Officer Todd Slawter and Director of Business Development Christopher Patton welcome the opportunity to get to know AHIP Institute & Expo attendees.

Slawter is one of Peerfit’s newest hires, but is a seasoned health insurance industry executive. Prior to joining Peerfit, he served in senior leadership roles for Aetna, Cigna, and BenefitMall, which works with a network of 20,000 brokers and CPAs to deliver employee benefits and payroll services.
